Format Description
Shotgun Start All groups will tee off at the same time on different holes.
Individual Strokeplay Each person plays his/her own ball until holed and records that score.
Individual Blindhole After play is completed, 9 hole numbers will be drawn from a hat, and scores from these holes will be used to determine the winners.
Team Bestball Each person plays his/her own ball until holed. The 'bestball' score for a given hole is the lowest net score among the group.
High-Low Team score for each hole is the sum of the lowest and highest net scores.
Cha Cha Cha Take the best net score of the foursome on the first hole, the two best net scores on the second hole, the three best net scores on the third hole. Repeat the sequence until the end of the round.
Scramble All players hit tee shots. The group decides which is best, and everyone hits the next shot from that spot. This continues until the ball is holed.
Generally, a minimum number of tee shots must be used for each player.
Ryder Cup Two person teams compete in three 9-hole competitions. Nine holes of alternate shot, 9-holes of scramble, and 9-holes of better ball.
Lone Ranger Four person teams compete. On each hole, one person is the Lone Ranger (this rotates throughout the foursome). Team scores will be the sum of the Lone Ranger's score and the best of the other three scores.
